Photographs

We have seen certain photographs so often that they are imprinted on our minds. This stored common knowledge means their compositions can be reused for instant communication.

The windswept head-shot of beret-wearing revolutionary Che Guevara conveys idealism and heroism, and has been re-created many times in attempts to transfer these qualities to other individuals.
