Accept that soft skills are the new hard skills and practice them
I won’t forget the time an executive said this to me about soft skills, dismissively: “Sure, soft skills may have value for what I do, but they’re so difficult to learn. And, anyway, I believe that digital upskilling is the key responsibility for any employee and manager nowadays. It is cheaper and quicker to have returns on investment in digital skills.”
