6. A Strategy and System. We have a strategy and long-term plan for
executive development. Our programs and practices are part of
a continuous system and process rather than stand-alone, ad
hoc events.
Too many programs are created and conducted as one-off,
ad hoc events that are not connected to any overall plan, strategy,
or system for executive development. Typically they are the pet
project of an individual senior executive or HR executive.
Unfortunately, experience indicates that they usually do not have
