How to Draw Straight-Edged Shapes

We’ll first learn to draw squares. Let’s start by drawing one light, horizontal line and one light vertical line that intersect at a right angle. Notice that each line I’ve drawn extends beyond the corner. It’s much easier to draw straight edged shapes using line segments longer than what we need. The corners of the shape are created when these lines naturally intersect. This way we don’t need to worry about stopping the lines exactly at the corners. If desired, we can erase any excess lines after we complete the shape.
