Frazer Pennebaker: Sustaining Documentary Production
D A Pennebaker’s son Frazer has produced all of Hegedus and Pennebaker’s films since 1980, including the Emmy award-winning Elaine Stritch at Liberty. He began working with his father and Chris Hegedus after college as the assistant producer on DeLorean, a film about the auto entrepreneur John DeLorean. After that, the collaboration continued and Frazer produced several iconic music-themed videos and series, including The Music Tells You, with Brandford Marsalis, Jimi Plays Monterey, Shake! Otis at Monterey, and the feature-length film Depeche Mode 101, which went platinum upon its release.
