QUALITY CONTROL IN ISD

One sure sign of a thorough professional approach to instructional design is the ability to provide a quality control process for all aspects of ISD. This instills confidence in the process for both designers and clients.

Quality review tools are now available for behavioral objectives, design plans, and lesson plans. These quality reviews can save enormous amounts of time and resources and provide a path to continuous improvement of the design. These tools include the following:

Quality Review for Objectives (QRO). The QRO looks at all four elements of an objective and exposes any areas or weaknesses that need to be corrected. Changes can then be easily made early in the design process.
