Where do I fit in?
The popular vision of a growing company is of a group of followers flocking round the banner of a charismatic entrepreneur. The reality is much subtler than this. Yes, there will no doubt be an Oprah or a Branson at the centre of things, but they are not the whole story. There are concentric rings of very special people around every entrepreneur, without whom the business will go nowhere, and without whom the entrepreneur is more likely to spend their days tinkering with prototypes or impressing people at parties.
