Put Yourself at Eye Level

If you want to take effective wildlife photos, one of the most important rules is: “Put yourself at eye level with the animal.” A majestic eagle photographed from above is simply not captivating, and neither does it do the animal justice. It also means that there’s no eye contact between the bird and the viewer with the result that there’s little intrigue in the photo.
