This year the Democrats finally stepped up to the Bush Administration’s mess after winning back both houses of Congress, though by slim margins. President Bush ended up with egg on his face when he chastised Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi for picking out the drapes for her office before she actually won. Cartoonists trumpeted the Democrats’ win.
