Chapter . Rove Resigns
It was a longtime coming. Bush administration “architect” Karl Rove was at one time arguably the most powerful Republican in the country. This year Rove finally decided to cut and run from the White House – his work there was already done. The man who put Bush in the White House became known as “Bush’s Brain.” The president called Rove “Turd-blossom.” Cartoonists on the left might have been even more disappointed to see Rove go than the Republicans, but Rove’s departure seemed to bring the same image to mind for most of the cartoonists.
