Visions of asterisks danced in the heads of cartoonists when former Sen. George Mitchell released his brutal 409-page report on the prevalence of anabolic steroids and human growth hormone in Major League Baseball. The investigation found plenty of big names to blame, detailing 89 players, including stars Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, and Andy Pettitte, as alleged users and castigated baseball executives for turning a blind eye to the abuses. Cartoonists compiled their own lists of the naughty.
