Wi-Fi networking is wildly popular, but it's not the only wireless technology out there. Several other systems are available, including Bluetooth, which provides very short-range connections for computer peripheral devices and accessories such as headphones and keyboards, and the 3G mobile data services that we'll discuss in Chapter 13. Each offers solutions to a somewhat different set of problems, and each fills a different market niche.
