How to Measure Burnout

The word data gets thrown around a lot these days. The truth is that data-driven decision making isn’t new. The first employee surveys, commonly known as employee-attitude surveys, surfaced in industrial companies in the 1920s. Between 1944 and 1947, the National Industrial Advisory Board saw a 250 percent increase in companies implementing attitude surveys.1

I am a firm believer that we need to rely on our intuition as leaders; our gut instincts can play a big role in shaping thriving cultures. But we should always back up our gut instincts with data, more specifically, accurate data.
