The business model entered mainstream management via technology entrepreneurship. Most of this book has focused on entrepreneurial contexts. But every organisation has a business model that can be identified, evaluated and adapted.
In this chapter, we look at business model analysis in the context of ‘big’ business. We can use the same tools, but we must address the increasing levels of complexity that arise with larger entities. That may require more sophisticated business models or the use of multiple business models.
