The first milestone must be the one that introduced me to the market. I think this can be summarised as curiosity, at least at first. At the time I was a tax consultant but I was not finding the work very inspiring. Part of the work involved investment and I used to read Bob Beckman’s Investors’ Bulletin (now sadly defunct or at least no longer involving Mr. Beckman). This led me to buy his book Supertiming on the Elliott Wave Theory. I started to apply this to the market and built up an interest in the way FTSE moved. However this was not what got me hooked.
