During the height of the college mating season, my daughter received a piece of mail from Beloit College, a wonderful liberal arts school in Wisconsin that listed its merit scholarships. The mailer contained a laundry list of Beloit’s awards that ranged from $4,000 a year to free tuition. Beloit was quite specific about who qualifies for this free cash.
