The head and face are a good starting point for drawing people. The shapes are fairly simple, and the proportions are easy to measure. Portraiture is also very rewarding. You can feel a great sense of satisfaction when you look at a portrait you’ve drawn and see a true likeness of your subject, especially when the model is someone near and dear to you.
