After finishing this chapter, you will have more than enough nouns to read the Latin selections in Part 4. Try to get comfortable with declensions: the third, the fourth, and fifth are added here. You should be familiar with the nominative and genitive cases by now. They are basic to vocabulary skills, and you’ll be using them for the rest of your Latin reading life.
However, don’t get the idea that Romans spoke only one or two words naming people, places, or things. We’ll get to the other parts of speech soon.
