Italian Sinonimi

Can you tell me the difference between finestra, critallo, vetrina, and vetro? What do the words roccia and rocca, pietra and sasso have in common? They all refer to a rock in one form or another. Try this: gabinetto, bagno, toilette, cesso, water, not to mention latrina, ritirata, and servizi; these are all words commonly used to describe the lavatory, bathroom, restroom, outhouse, toilet (also called “the office” in certain circumstances).
