Owning a building is an investment for an owner or developer. Like all investments, it needs to be properly taken care of in order for it to grow in value and become a source of income and profit. Nobody wants to own, live, or work in a rundown building that has out-of-date systems, shoddy landscaping, and cracks and holes in the walls and roof.
