What Are Keywords?
We commonly type keywords into search engines such as Google or Yahoo! in hopes of pulling up information we seek. In much the same way, a recruiter trying to fill a job enters keywords into a search engine online or in a resume database to find ideal candidates’ resumes.
Keywords are terms (one word or a few strung together) that capture the essence of a topic. When looking for a job online, use as many keywords in your search as necessary (such as job title, skills, zip code) to pull up job posts that match your qualifications.
