National Security Positions

If your job requires a security clearance investigation, it is usually because your position requires you to be eligible for access to Confidential, Secret, or Top Secret information. You will generally see high levels of clearance associated with positions in the intelligence community (including the CIA and FBI) as well as the State Department, the Agency for International Development (USAID), and the Department of Defense (DOD).
The levels of clearance are:
