What Types of Jobs Are Available?
There are many different jobs and occupations within the judicial branch. There are nearly 1,800 judges across our country employed by the judicial branch. But if you think the court system is only made up of judges, lawyers, and court reporters, think again. The court system needs employees in areas such as human resources, accounting, information technology, and law enforcement, in every region of our nation.
Aside from the Supreme Court, there are many places to work in the judiciary. The Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, Federal Judicial Center, U.S. Sentencing Commission, and the U.S. Probation and Pretrial Services System employ thousands of people.
