How to Apply for State Government Jobs

As we’ve mentioned, each state has its own application process. The good news is that many states are now using online systems that make it easy to apply and streamline the process for both the applicant and hiring personnel.
Most state government pages have employment links on their homepage. Look for the words “careers,” “jobs,” or “employment.” This will connect you to all the job listings for the state.
As on USAJOBS.gov, you may be asked to create an account and upload your resumé (and/or enter information about your work history). Once you have entered your information, it should be easy to search and apply for jobs.
