Production and Income Classifications

Another quantitative method of classifying national economies is by per capita GDP or per capita income. The World Bank classifies countries into high-income, upper-middle income, lower-middle income, and low-income groups. The range of incomes for each group, in dollars, and examples of nations in each group are as follows:
