Read Me: Reading Your Feeds

Now that you’ve got some feeds stuffed into Google Reader, you’re ready to start reading those feeds and become annoyingly smart and well informed.
First let’s take a look at the Google Reader interface now that you’ve subscribed to a few feeds, as shown in Figure 11.6.

Your starting point is the Subscriptions list at the bottom of the navigation pane. Not surprisingly, this is a list of the feeds you’ve subscribed to. The number at the end of the feed name tells you how many items (posts, stories, articles, comics, or what have you) you haven’t yet read. You ...
