You can’t miss your News Feed. Log on to Facebook, and it’s right there, in your face, front and center. To filter out some of the “noise” and focus on the most important news of the day, Facebook’s default setting for the News Feed is Top News. Facebook hides most of the status updates, displaying only the most important ones. To deem what’s most important, Facebook considers numerous factors, including the number of friends commenting on a certain post, which friends posted the items, and the type of content (photo, video, status update, or link).
