Finally! Your proposal is almost done. All that’s left is the writing sample. Easy, right? Not necessarily. Your writing sample is the very last section an agent or editor reads, and it has to sing. This writing sample will show whether or not you can write, and whether or not you have what it takes to deliver a whole book. (This chapter deals with nonfiction proposals.
