Introducing the Overview

A critical section in the book proposal is called the overview; it introduces the book to the agent or editor, and pinpoints its relevancy and immediacy right from the start. The overview is the summary of the entire book.
An overview also includes a review of the most pertinent and compelling selling points of the project, including your platform, competitive titles, if any, and specific markets that would be interested in you and your book.
