Other Team Roles
The team leader and facilitator roles are the most critical in the strategic planning process, but other roles have value as well. These include team members, ad hoc members (those who may participate on an as-needed basis), and the recorder.
Team members will be the workhorses of the strategic planning effort, during both the planning process and implementation. The importance of their roles and commitment to the process should be made clear to them at the outset. All team leaders have had experiences with team members who want to be part of the process but who aren’t committed to actually doing anything.
