Determine How to Reach Them
Once you’ve taken a refresher on your connections and objectives, and have some broad sense of who and what they are, the hunt begins. Finding people to participate in your network is not always easy, but there are things you can do to get started.
Begin with your existing digital connections. Send an invitation by e-mail. Announce the network in your newsletter. Blog about it, and invite others to join in the comment section of other blogs (only where appropriate, please!).
I encourage you to try a combination public relations campaign. Harness both social media and traditional media outlets. If you can afford one, hire a publicist to help get your spokesperson on the radio and TV in your key geographic areas. ...
