Data Gathering

I suggest you start with a basic web analytics package to provide you with all sorts of data about unique visitors, inbound links, and the amount of time people spend in your community. You may already be familiar with tools like Google Analytics. You can sign up for a free account at www.google.com/analytics. Google makes it easy to use the system and there are lots of help files to teach you how to set up, read, and interpret the analytics if you need some help.
