Manipulating Overlapping Objects

Working with two or more objects on a page is like making your own collage. The trouble with objects is that when you place one object on top of another, the top object blocks the bottom one and prevents you from selecting it. You have to flip through the stack to find the object you want. It’s like trying to eat the pancake on the bottom of the stack first.
Most programs that enable you to stack objects offer tools to help you rearrange the objects in a stack. You select the object and then choose the desired action:
Bring to front: Brings an object to the top
Send to back: Sends an object to the bottom
Bring forward: Moves the object one layer up
Send backward: Moves the object one layer down
Bring ...
