Creating a Twitter Marketing Plan

“Because everyone else is doing it” is a terrible reason to create a social media campaign, including Twitter. You have to know why you’re using social media to reach people—otherwise, don’t bother.

Like any marketing campaign, you will have overall goals (“get more business”) and specific marketing projects (“attract a new market of younger users”). One is overarching, while the other is a tactical plan. Without a strategic plan in place, however, any energy you put into marketing your business will be haphazard and disorganized.
