When to Tweet

You want to engage your followers. You want to whisper in their ears at the time they are most open to hearing from you, when they are actively reading their Twitter stream—and ready to both take action (“I must follow that link!”) and click on the Retweet button.

You don’t want to inundate followers with information, yelling in their ear so often that they unfollow you. On the other hand, you don’t want to be so invisible that they forget about you or, worse, imagine that your silence means you don’t care—or perhaps are no longer in business.

In other words, how often should you Tweet? What’s the best time of day, the best day of the week? Can you get away with posting the same content occasionally … or ever?
