50. Stretching the point

Stretching is one of those things we know we should do, don’t really know why and quietly forget about when no one’s looking.

If you’ve decided to become more active you’ll be using your muscles more intensively and taking them through a greater range of movement. Fail to stretch and you’ll recover more slowly from your efforts, be stiffer, run the risk of injury and, worse, end up walking like John Wayne.
