Try the raisin awareness experiment, which will help you experience both Mindful Eating and Beginner’s Mind.

Take one raisin and place it in the palm of your hand, imagining that you have never seen this object before and do not have a name for it.

Holding

Allow the object to rest in the palm of your hand.

Become aware of its weight.

See if you can discern its temperature.

Looking

Really look at the object, giving it your full attention.

What do you see?

Perhaps noticing its colour, shape and sheen.

Touching

Be aware of the movement as you pick the object up between thumb and forefinger of your other hand.

How does the outside texture of the object feel as you roll it gently between these fingers.
