How well do you bounce back in the face of adversity?
Resilience is attracting a lot of attention at present; healthcare professionals, academics, psychologists, nutritional therapists are all very interested, to mention but a few. But aren’t human beings already very adaptable in the face of adversity? Look at our history, as a species we have faced and come through tremendous adversity; wars, epidemics, climatic change and environmental disasters. So why this preoccupation with making us more resilient now?
