An exploratory case study in justicetourism
Recent events including major financial crises are challenging the hegemonic dominance of capitalist globalization and the ideology of neo-liberalism. Within the domain of tourism, alternative tourism can be viewed in the context of an increasingly vigorous challenge to the impacts of corporatized tourism and spreading capitalist globalization (Higgins-Desbiolles 2008).
