Aims of this appendix

This appendix is about preparation for the PMP or CAPM exams. When you have completed it, you should:

• be aware of the two qualifications in project management provided by the PMI, the Project Management Professional (PMP) and the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM);

• understand the eligibility requirements for entry to the PMP and CAPM exams;

• know how the exam is structured;

• know what is required to pass the exam and how best to prepare yourself;

• be familiar with the language of the examiners;

• have had experience of practice questions.
