A workflow is a way to automatically implement actions in your organization, such as sending emails or setting the values of fields. You can add conditions to determine when a workflow is executed.
Approvals give you the ability to implement complete business process flows, all through a wizard-based interface. You can have multiple steps, optional steps, parallel approvers or even dynamic approval routing.
