Using Foam Core and Creating Reflections

While you’ll find portrait photographers using white reflectors a lot in the studio (usually to reflect or bounce light from the main light into the side of the face that’s in the shadows), when it comes to product photography, more often than not, you’ll find the pros using a large sheet of foam core instead. Form core tends to have a little more sheen to it than most reflectors and reflects more light.
