Disclaimer: This book and this chapter are not intended to fully teach readers how to use the critical path method (CPM). This book assumes that the readers have some knowledge of the CPM, and (hopefully) they have used the CPM on previous projects. Some basic CPM material is presented to give a landscape against which the DPM will be compared and contrasted. If readers desire to understand more about the CPM, there are many useful resources that are listed in this chapter.
