Abstract

The last decades have been ones of particular attention to early childhood development policies and programs globally. Most recently, the early years have been integrated into the Sustainable Development Goals (Britto et al., 2017), as well as the G20 2018 communiqué (point 14). These trends have been increasingly driven by an understanding of neuroscience and its implications for education, health, and in economics—the research on human capital formation.
