Much of this book has involved making predictions about the future of edge computing and edge data centers, so it may seem odd to devote a chapter to what comes next. I think it’s worth differentiating between what’s on the verge of happening versus the longer-term future. You could argue that this means going from guesswork to wild guesswork, but the thought process is worthwhile for anyone contemplating an investment in edge data centers.
