When strategizing, it is natural to gravitate toward well-defined steps with a clear beginning and end and a timeline for everything in between. The ubiquitous stepwise strategy approaches (i.e., framework approaches) satisfy these desires and may look something like the following:
1. Define problem
2. Analyze data
3. Set goals
4. Create strategy
5. Consider alternatives
6. Create action plan
7. Create control metrics
