Abstract

There are many digital resources available for the modern orchestral music librarian to use in preparing music for performance. This chapter covers the most popular music engraving and music recognition software, image editing programs, photocopiers and scanners being used in orchestral libraries today, and the uses they are put in to preparing music. There is also discussion of the relative effectiveness of various brands of software, with examples of their output.
