Embedding Information Literacy in the Curriculum

This chapter presents two contrasting case studies: the Bridging the Gap projects explore the preparedness of school and college pupils’ understanding of information literacy and independent learning during the period 2012–2014. The second case study, the Surrey Top Achievers Recognised and Supported (STARS) project, describes workshops for high achieving final year students preparing them for employment with ‘information literacy in the real world’. The STARS project is ongoing.
