THE RULES TO MAKE FULL USE OF YOUR CALENDAR

  1. Your calendar must be an accurate reflection of how you will spend your time. Everything that is important to you that needs to be done must be scheduled in your calendar. If it is not in your calendar, consider that you haven’t really indicated a true intention to get it done, which means it may not get done. The only exception is for small items of less than 15 minutes. These can be batched up into a larger time slot so that it is more workable.
  2. Take time to plan your days and weeks. Obviously, the main advantage in the use of your calendar is in planning your time; however, a common pitfall for many busy people is putting lots of appointments into the diary without thinking of how the day will go. ...
