Deep breaths! If you are reading this list and have suddenly tensed up, gotten excited, cringed, or put on your boxing gloves, you are thinking, feeling, and responding exactly as you're supposed to. Opposition entails discomfort and brings up a plethora of thoughts, emotions, and reactions. It's not easy to see the world from another person's perspective, which is exactly what we're going to do in this chapter. Take another deep breath in, and deep breath out. Let's reboot and become present with the opportunity this lesson will bring as we start to shift from destructive to constructive energy.
To start, I invite you to bring up your results from the short quiz or quizzes you completed in Chapter 2. If you, your team, or your organization completed the full Energy Leadership Index Assessment™ (ELI) and debrief, feel free to bring those results forward as well. Within these assessments, you identified some areas where you, your team, or your organization are experiencing low energy. Now that you have identified some of your pain points, the first step towards shifting your energy starts with imagining what your challenges would look like from a different perspective.
